Small Cap (moderately aggressive):
Putnam Capital Opportunities B seeks capital growth. The fund primarily invests in equity securities of smaller companies with market capitalizations of less that $2 billion. It may also invest in convertibles, warrants, preferred stocks, debt obligations, and money market instruments. The fund may invest in foreign securities, futures and options.
Putnam New Opportunities B seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests in common stocks in these sectors: communications, environmental services, media/entertainment, medical technology/medical cost containment, advanced technology, restaurants and retail, and personal finance. It may hold up to 20% in foreign securities.
International (aggressive):
Putnam International Growth B seeks capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 65% of assets in equity securities of companies located outside of the United States . It may invest in companies of any size that it judges to be in a strong growth trend or that it believes to be undervalued. The fund may invest in both developed and emerging markets. It may engage in various hedging strategies.
